MediaTek Inc. Board of Directors resolved Stock Dividend of NT$ 0.1 and Cash Dividend of NT$ 19 per share

Hsinchu, Taiwan - MediaTek, Inc. (TWSE: 2454, “MediaTek”) Board of Directors resolved a proposal recommending distribution of a stock dividend of NT$ 0.1 and a cash dividend of NT$ 19 per share. The items for proposal will be discussed and brought to a vote at the Company’s shareholders’ meeting scheduled for 9am on June 13, 2008.

 

During the meeting, the Board also resolved the following items:

Resolved the 2007 Business Report and Financial Statements. Consolidated revenue of 2007 amounted to NT$ 80,672 million. Net income of 2007 was NT$ 33,593 million and earnings per share was NT$ 32.59 accordingly. Resolved a proposal for capitalization of 2007 shareholders’ dividend, employees’ profit sharing and capital augment as the following:

  • A stock dividend of NT$ 0.1 and a cash dividend of NT$ 19 per share.
  • Employees’ profit sharing includes 21,890,000 shares and NT$ 3,200 million in cash.
  • Given abovementioned capitalization of retained earnings, the paid-in-capital will be raised to NT$10,732 million.
